In The Binding of Isaac, The Wrath of the lamb DLC is a lot harder then the normal game. Although there are extra AND harder creeps Fly, it's worth it as of all the extra rooms (not the suicide room) and all the extra items that do SO much damage.
So that makes it HARDER Isaac and EASIER Crown

Yes, but it also adds a lot more content, so in my opinion, it's worth it.
